Complete a task

Click the checkbox. The task stays crossed out for a moment, then moves to Completed. Untick it to bring it back.

Rename a task

Click the title in the list and type. Enter saves; Escape cancels.

Open a task

Click empty space in the row, or the open icon. The task opens in side peek with:

  • Details: Priority, Due and Linked to
  • Notes: anything longer, up to 10,000 characters
  • Delete task

Every change saves as you make it.

A task can also have a Start date, above Due, so it shows as a bar on a project's Timeline tab. Moving one date past the other moves both to the day you picked.

Delete a task

  1. Open the row's ··· menu and choose Delete, or click Delete task in the peek.
  2. The task is gone at once, and a toast says "Task deleted".
  3. Click Undo in the toast to bring it back with its links and notes.

Right-click a task

Right-click a task row for Open, Add to favorites, Mark done (or Mark not done) and Delete. The row's ··· shows the same list. On a phone or tablet, press and hold the row.

See what's done

  • Choose Completed in the rail, or turn on Show completed inline in the ··· menu.
  • On a record's Tasks tab, click Show completed.

Export tasks

Open the ··· menu and choose Export visible tasks. You get a CSV of the view you're looking at, with Title, Due, Priority, Status, Linked to and Notes.
