How do I sign in?
Sign up and sign in with a code sent to your email, or with a passkey, sign out, and change your sign-in email.

Plya has no passwords. You sign in with an 8-digit code sent to your email, or with a passkey on plya.app.
Sign up
- Go to plya.app and click Get started. A few short pages ask what you make and how many people are in your studio, then open Sign up. See getting started. An invitation link opens Sign up directly, and when it comes with an offer, such as a free first month of Studio, a note above the form says so.
- Enter your email and click Email me a code.
- Enter the 8-digit code from the email, and click Create account.
- On a device that supports passkeys, Plya offers to save one, so next time you log in with Touch ID, Face ID or your device's lock. Click Save a passkey, or Not now. See passkeys.
- Answer a few quick questions, then pick a plan: Basic, with no card needed, or Studio. See getting started.
Sign in with a code
- Go to plya.app/login.
- Enter your email and click Email me a code.
- Check your inbox for "Your Plya sign-in code".
- Enter the 8-digit code and click Log in. Or click the link in the email, on any device.
Codes and links work once and expire after an hour. Your device remembers the last email you used.
Plya also emails a code to confirm any other address you add for logging emails. That code only confirms the address. It doesn't sign you in.

Sign in with a passkey
On plya.app, click Log in with a passkey, or pick your passkey when your browser offers it in the email field.
Sign out
- Settings → Account → Log out, or
- The studio menu at the bottom of the sidebar → Sign out
Signing out ends your session in this browser only. Other devices stay signed in.
Change your email
- Go to Settings → Account and click Change next to your email.
- Enter the new email and click Send codes. Plya emails one code to your current address and one to the new address.
- Enter both codes and click Change email.
The change needs both codes, so someone with your laptop open can't move your account to their own email. Your old address gets an email saying the change happened. From then on, you sign in with the new email, and the old one no longer works.
The codes expire after an hour. Until you finish, Settings shows the change you started: click Enter codes to carry on, or Cancel change to keep your current email.
Your billing email follows the change, unless you set a different one in Manage billing. Passkeys keep working. Your device's passkey list may still show the old email as the account name.
