How do I add Plya to my calendar?
Subscribe to your Plya dates in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook, choose what shows, and reset the link.
- calendar
- calendar feed
- google calendar
- apple calendar
- outlook
- ical
- ics
- subscribe
- due dates
- deadlines
The calendar feed puts your Plya dates in the calendar you already use. Each date is an all-day event, and it moves when you change the date in Plya. The feed is read-only: changes you make in your calendar don't come back to Plya.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- On Calendar feed, click Turn on. Its settings open.
- Under Add to your calendar, click your app:
- Google Calendar opens Google with the feed ready to add.
- Apple Calendar opens the Calendar app on your Mac, iPhone or iPad. Click Subscribe.
- Outlook opens Outlook on the web with the feed ready to add.
For any other app, click Copy link and paste it where your app subscribes to a calendar by URL.
The feed is yours: everyone in your studio has their own link, and it shows the studio you're in.
What it shows
| Switch | Events |
|---|---|
| Project due dates | Due dates of projects that aren't done, canceled or archived |
| Task due dates | Due dates of open tasks assigned to you or to no one |
| Invoice due dates | Due dates of sent invoices that haven't been paid |
| Saved opportunities | Deadlines of the opportunities you saved or are applying to |
| Outreach | Follow-ups on your leads, and pipeline due dates |
Turn a switch off to leave those dates out. The switches save as you flip them, and your calendar picks up the change the next time it checks. The feed covers the last 90 days and everything ahead. Each event links back to its record in Plya.
When changes show up
Your calendar checks the feed on its own schedule, and Plya can't make it check sooner:
- Apple Calendar checks as often as you set in the calendar's settings, such as every hour.
- Outlook usually checks every few hours.
- Google Calendar can take until later that day.
Keep the link private
Anyone with the link can see your dates and their titles, such as a client's name on an invoice. Share it only with your own calendar.
If it ends up somewhere it shouldn't, open the card's ··· menu and choose Reset link. The old link stops working at once. Add the new one to your calendar, and remove the old calendar there.
Turn off in the same menu stops the link. Turning the feed on again makes a new link.
