Opportunities is a list of fairs and shows, open calls, awards, grants and residencies, chosen and kept up to date by Plya. You track your own status on each one.

For you depends on What you make in Settings → Studio.

Track your status

  1. Click Save on an opportunity, or open its status menu.
  2. As it moves, change the status: Applying, Applied, Exhibiting or Attending.
  3. Choose Clear to remove your status.

Your status is yours alone. Mark something Not interested to hide it; find it again under Show → Not interested.

Apply

Open an opportunity to see its dates, deadline, location, entry cost, how often it runs, the organizer and who can apply. Click Apply or Visit website to go to the organizer's site. Applications happen there.

The same list is public at plya.app/opportunities, so you can share it or send someone straight to one opportunity. Filter it by Type, Craft and When. Each card shows the crafts it's open to, each in its own color, so you can spot the ones for you. Each opportunity has its own page with its dates, terms and links. Once its deadline passes it leaves the list, and its page says Closed. To get new ones by email once a month, sign up for the Roundup at the top of the page or in the footer. Signing up also gets you a free set of templates at plya.app/kit: agreements, price and line sheets, a fair budget and an open call kit. Enter your email there and the downloads appear. When nothing open matches your filters, Get the Roundup takes you there too.

Click Save to Plya on any of them:

  • Signed in: it's saved to your studio right there, with the status Saved. Click Open in Plya to see it in Opportunities.
  • Not signed up yet: you sign up with your email, set up your studio, and land in Opportunities with it already saved.

An opportunity you've already marked keeps the status it has.

Each opportunity shows when its dates were last checked. Confirm the dates on the organizer's site before you apply.
