Paste or drop almost anything onto a canvas. Plya stores what you add in your studio's files, so it also shows up in Resources → Library.
What happens when you paste or drop
| You add | You get |
|---|---|
| A web address (paste) | A link card with the page's title and preview. If no preview is found, the card shows the site's name |
| An image (paste or drop) | An image on the board. Crop it from its toolbar |
| A video (drop) | A video on the board |
| Any other file, such as a PDF (drop) | A file card with its name, type and size |
| Text (paste into a text box or sticky) | Plain text |
While you drag files over the board, it shows "Drop to add".
Upload a file
- Click Add file in the add card, or right-click empty space and choose Add → File….
- Choose a file from your computer.
A file uploaded this way always becomes a file card, even if it's an image. Double-click a file card to open it. Images show large and PDFs open in the browser's viewer. Click the name to rename it, and use Open, Download, add it to a collection, or see where it's Used in.
Size limits
| What | Limit |
|---|---|
| A file card (PDF, document, any file) | 50 MB |
| An image or video dropped or pasted on the board | 10 MB |
| Files dropped at once | 100 |
| Image size | Images wider or taller than 5,000 pixels are scaled down |
Describe an image
Select an image and type in Add a description… in its toolbar. The description helps screen readers.
