The Type Directors Club's annual international competition for typography in communication design, lettering and new typefaces. Winners receive a Certificate of Excellence and a one-year TDC membership, appear in the TDC archive, and can be shown in TDC exhibitions that travel internationally. Winners are notified in early May 2027.

- Who can apply
- Designers worldwide (except sanctioned countries). Work produced or published January 1 to December 31, 2026. Type Design entries must be new typefaces or a new script for an existing one. Students enter Young Ones TDC instead.
