Questions about Invoicing

What does it cost to take payments?

Stripe's processing fee comes out of every online payment. On Basic, Plya also keeps 2% of each invoice paid online. Studio has no Plya fee, and an invoice you mark paid by hand never carries one.

Do my clients need an account?

No. The View & pay invoice button in your email opens a private pay page, where they pay by card, or by bank debit if you've turned it on in Stripe.

When does the money reach my bank?

Payments go to your own Stripe account and pay out on your Stripe schedule, usually within 2 business days in the US. The invoice's activity shows when.

Can I make invoices before connecting Stripe?

Yes. Draft invoices and download PDFs any time. Plya asks you to connect Stripe when you send your first one.

Which Stripe accounts does it work with?

Invoicing works with Stripe accounts in the US for now, billing in USD, CAD, EUR, GBP or AUD.
