Stripe's processing applies on every plan: 2.9% + 30¢ for cards, and 0.8% up to $5 for bank transfers. Many studio apps add 1–1.5% to every bank transfer, with no cap. Studio and Atelier add nothing on top.
No Plya fee on Studio
Clients pay into your own Stripe account on every plan. On Studio, Plya adds no fee on what you're paid.
Pricing questions
What does Basic include?
Every part of Plya, with unlimited invoices and a 2% fee on payments, 10 notes, 3 projects, 50 contacts and 20 Ash credits a month. When you reach a limit, everything you've made stays, and Studio lifts the limit.
When does Studio cost less than Basic?
When clients pay you more than $1,950 in a month through Plya. At that point Basic's 2% fee is more than Studio's $39.
What counts as a seat?
Each person in your studio is a seat, and so is each invite that hasn't been accepted yet. Clients who open a shared page or pay an invoice don't need one.
Can I add seats later?
Yes. Invite someone from Settings, confirm the new price, and Studio adds a seat for $39 a month, up to 5 people. Basic is for one person, so your first invite moves you to Studio. When someone leaves, remove their seat in Billing and your next charge is the lower total.
What happens past 5 people?
Studio and Atelier go up to 5 people. For 6 or more, Business is a custom plan we set up with you, with priority support, invoice or PO billing and annual terms. Contact sales to get started.
What is an Ash credit?
An answer uses 1 credit, and reading or changing your studio uses 2. Basic includes 20 a month and Studio includes 500, plus 250 for each seat after 2, shared by the studio. If they run out, Ash pauses until they reset, and the rest of Plya keeps working.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. Studio stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, then your studio moves to Basic, with everything you've made still there. If you have more projects, notes or contacts than Basic includes, you can still open, search and export them. Adding to that area waits until you archive down to the limit or upgrade.
Does Plya take a cut of my invoices?
On Studio, no. Clients pay into your own Stripe account, and you pay Stripe's processing fee and nothing else. On Basic, Plya keeps 2% of each invoice payment made online, on top of Stripe's fee. On a $5,000 commission, that's $100 on Basic and nothing on Studio.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Plya isn't right for you, your first payment is refunded in full within 30 days.
