What can Ash do?
Everything Ash can read and change across Plya, and the things it can't do.

Ash reads and changes your studio through the same records you use. Everything it changes shows as a chip with Open and, for most changes, Undo.
What Ash can do, by module
| Module | Ash can |
|---|---|
| Projects | Find, read, create, update and delete projects |
| Tasks | Find, create and update tasks, complete or reopen them, and delete them |
| Notes | Find and read notes, write new ones, add to existing ones, and delete them |
| Network | Find, create and update contacts and organizations, make someone a lead, archive or restore contacts, and delete contacts and organizations |
| Outreach | Find pipelines and targets, add people to a pipeline (up to 200 at once, skipping anyone already on it), move targets, log follow-ups, and remove targets from a pipeline |
| Finance | Summarize your money, find and read invoices, draft and edit invoices, send them, mark them paid (your client gets a receipt), delete drafts, log and edit time, and start or stop the timer |
| Resources | Find opportunities and files, set your status on an opportunity, and save links |
| Plya help | Answer how-to questions from these docs |
Ash leaves archived projects, notes and contacts out of its lists and counts, the same as the screens do. Ask for an archived one and Ash still finds it.
Ash can also read the emails you've logged with a contact or an organization: the subject, the first lines, the date and which way it went, and when you last contacted someone.
Ash also writes drafts for you to copy, like a follow-up email to a gallery or a pitch to a stockist, from what's in your records. It writes them in the chat; you send them from your own email.
Ash also remembers what you tell it to, and learns how you work as you talk.
Search the web and read links
Ash can look things up on the web and read a link you paste. Ask it about what changes outside your studio, like a fair's booth fee, an open call's deadline or who works at a gallery. Your own records come from Plya, so Ash doesn't search the web for those.
- In one turn, Ash runs up to 3 searches and reads up to 3 pages.
- While it works, Ash shows Searching the web… or Reading and the site's name.
- The pages it used show as links under its answer. Each one opens in a new tab.
- Ash treats what it reads as information, never as instructions.
- In a turn where Ash read the web, every change waits for you on a confirm card, even the ones it usually makes straight away. A page can have wrong details, or text written to steer Ash, so you check first. See Why does Ash ask me to confirm?.
What Ash can't do
- Send email, other than sending an invoice. It can draft an email for you to copy and send.
- Make payments.
- Change your settings, plan or billing.
- Work on the canvas: add, move or arrange cards.
- Create or edit pipelines.
- Read attachments. The composer takes text only.
- Delete invoices that have been sent. Only drafts can be deleted.
On these docs, Ash only searches and reads the help pages, and can offer you a form to email support. It can't see your studio there, even when you're signed in.
Ash takes up to six steps in one turn. For bigger jobs, it stops and asks if you want it to keep going.
