How do Ash credits work?
What a turn with Ash costs, how many credits each plan includes, and what happens when they run out.

Each turn with Ash uses credits. A turn is one message from you and Ash's answer.
What a turn costs

A turn costs its highest item. A turn that reads three projects and adds a task costs 2.
These are free: confirming or canceling a card, Undo, and turns that fail or that you stop.
How many you get

Studio's credits grow with its seats: 250 more a month for each seat after the first 2.
Unused credits don't carry over. Upgrading to Studio gives you 500 straight away. If a Studio plan ends, the studio goes back to Basic's 20 a month. If it then has more projects, notes or contacts than Basic includes, Ash can still read them but can't add or change records in that area until you archive down or upgrade. Credits belong to the studio, so everyone in it shares them.
See what's left
- The ring in Ash's composer fills as you use credits. It turns yellow at 80% and red when they're used up. Click it to see how many are used, when they reset, and the costs.
- Settings → Billing shows them too. On Basic, Ash credits is the last line under Basic plan, with how many are used and when they reset. On Studio, Ash credits has its own section with the costs.
When credits run out
The turn you're in always finishes. The next one waits until your credits come back on the reset date, and Ash says when that is. Your conversations stay readable, and Undo still works.
On Basic, Upgrade under Ash's message opens the plan dialog, and Studio's 500 start at once. On Studio, Billing settings opens Settings → Billing.
Ash on the docs
Asking Ash on these docs is free and never uses your studio's credits. It has its own limits instead: 20 questions an hour, 50 a day, and up to 1,000 characters a question.
