How do I archive or restore a note?
Archive notes you're done with to take them off Basic's note count, and restore them later.

Archiving takes a note out of your list without deleting it. Its text, images, links and folders stay, and you can restore it whenever you like.
Archive a note
- Open the note.
- Open the note's ··· menu and click Archive note. A note you archived shows Restore note there.
- A toast offers Undo.
To archive several, open the rail's options, click Select notes to archive, tick the notes, and click Archive in the bar that appears. Click Done when you finish.
See and restore archived notes
- Open the rail's options and turn on Show archived.
- Archived notes show an Archived badge.
- Open one and click Restore in the banner, or select several and click Restore.
Ash leaves archived notes out of its lists, and still finds one you search for.
Archived notes and the Basic limit
Basic includes 10 notes, and the limit counts active notes. Archived notes don't count, so archiving makes room for a new one.
Restoring a note takes a place, the same as writing a new one. On Basic at the limit, Restore opens the plan dialog instead.
If your studio has more active notes than Basic includes, for example after a Studio plan ends, Notes still lists, opens, searches and exports every note. Writing new notes and editing existing ones wait until you archive down to the limit or upgrade. Archiving and deleting always work. Projects and contacts are unaffected. See what the Basic plan includes.
