Billable time that isn't on an invoice yet is ready to bill. Plya turns it into invoice lines at the project's hourly rate.
Bill a project's time
- Open Finance and click New invoice, or open the project's Invoices tab and click New invoice.
- Pick the Project. Its unbilled billable time fills the line items, each with a Time badge. Archived projects aren't in the list.
- If asked, set the project's rate with Rate per hour and Set rate. You can also set it ahead of time under Hourly rate in the project's details.
- Check the lines, then click Create invoice.
When some projects have unbilled work, the invoice list shows a banner such as "2 projects have uninvoiced work" with Create.
Add time to a draft
- Open the draft.
- In the Line items header, click Pull time (N).
- Tick the entries you want and click Add N.
How lines are worked out
| Quantity | The entry's hours, to two decimals |
| Rate | The project's hourly rate, or the Hourly rate in Finance settings |
| One invoice per entry | A time entry can only be billed once |
The rate is copied onto the line when it's added. Changing a project's rate later doesn't change lines that already exist.
