Time lives in Finance → Time. Track it live with the timer, or log it afterwards. Billable time turns into invoice lines later.

Use the timer

  1. Go to Finance → Time.
  2. In the timer bar, type What are you working on?, pick a Project if there is one, and choose Billable or Internal. The Project list leaves out archived projects.
  3. Click Start.
  4. When you're done, click Stop. The time is logged to today, in whole minutes.

While the timer runs, a timer chip shows in the sidebar on every page (in the top bar on a phone). Click it to open the timer, or use its stop button.

You can run one timer at a time.

Log time after the fact

  1. In Finance → Time, click Log time. On a project's Time tab, Log time fills in the project for you.
  2. Fill in Description, Project, Hours and Minutes, and the Date.
  3. Leave Billable on for time you'll charge for.
  4. Click Log time.

Edit or delete an entry

Click an entry to open it. Change the duration (you can type "1h 30m"), project, date or billable switch, and it saves as you go. An entry on an archived project keeps that project, and the picker lists the other projects that aren't archived. Delete time removes it after you confirm.

An entry on a sent, paid or void invoice is locked, so it always matches what you billed. Move the invoice back to draft to change it.

Read your week

  • Previous week and Next week move between weeks.
  • The chart shows Monday to Sunday, stacked by project.
  • All projects filters to one project. Billable only hides internal time.
  • Entries are grouped by day with day totals, and badged Billable, Internal, On a draft or Invoiced.

Limits

An entry is between 1 minute and 7 days (10,080 minutes). A description is up to 500 characters.
