How do I archive or restore a project?
Archive a finished project to take it out of your list and off Basic's project count, and restore it later.

Archiving takes a project out of your Projects list without deleting anything. Its canvas, tasks, notes, invoices and time all stay, and you can restore it whenever you like.
Archive one
- Open the project.
- Open Settings at the bottom of the details and click Archive project.
- A toast offers Undo.
Archive several
- Open Projects options (···) and click Select projects to archive.
- Tick the projects you want.
- Click Archive in the bar that appears, then Done.
See and restore archived projects
- Open Projects options (···) and turn on Show archived.
- Archived projects show an Archived badge.
- Open one and click Restore in the banner, or select several and click Restore.
Ash leaves archived projects out of its lists and its count of open projects, and still finds one you name.
Archived projects and the Basic limit
Basic includes 3 projects, and the limit counts active projects. Archived projects don't count, so archiving makes room for a new one.
Restoring a project takes a place, the same as making a new one. On Basic at the limit, Restore opens the plan dialog instead.
If your studio has more active projects than Basic includes, for example after a Studio plan ends, Projects still lists, opens and searches everything. Creating and editing a project wait until you archive down to the limit or upgrade. Archiving and deleting always work. See what the Basic plan includes.
