How it works

From quick add to done

Plan your day

See what's due

All tasks sorts every open task into Overdue, Today, Upcoming, Later and No date. Upcoming covers the next 14 days, and what's late stays up front.

  • Overdue appears only when something's late
  • The due pill turns amber for today and tomorrow
  • Find done tasks under Completed

Link the work

Add tasks wherever you work

Link a task to projects, contacts and organizations, and it shows in each one's Tasks tab and on its canvas. It's the same task everywhere, checked off once.

  • Each record's Tasks tab shows its progress
  • Quick add on a record links the task to it
  • Link up to 50 projects, contacts and organizations

On the board

Keep a live list on the board

A task list card shows Today, Upcoming or one project's tasks on the canvas. Tick tasks off on the card, or type a new one in.

  • A task added to a Today list is due today
  • Each task card has its own checkbox
  • Use the + on a project card to add a linked task

Prioritize

Sort by date or priority

Give a task a due date and a High, Medium or Low priority, then sort by date, priority or when it was added. Tasks without a date or priority sort last.

  • Set due dates like Today, Tomorrow or Next week
  • Add a start date to show it on a project's timeline
  • Keep done tasks in place with Show completed inline

Questions about Tasks

Can a task belong to more than one project?

Yes. Link a task to any number of projects, contacts and organizations, up to 50. It shows in each one's Tasks tab and on its canvas, and it's the same task everywhere.

What's in Upcoming?

Open tasks due in the next 14 days. All tasks also sorts everything into Overdue, Today, Upcoming, Later and No date.

Are checklists in a note the same as tasks?

Checkboxes in a note or in canvas text stay part of that text. For tasks, use the Tasks quick add or a Task list card on the canvas.

What if I delete a task by mistake?

Click Undo in the Task deleted toast right away. The task comes back with its links and notes.

Can I see my tasks in my calendar?

Yes. Turn on the calendar feed in Settings → Integrations, and open tasks' due dates show as all-day events in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
