Less admin, more framing.
Run every shoot from the shot list to the final cut. Plya keeps a production studio's brand spots, weddings, crew and festival runs in one place, with every review link, note and invoice beside the job it belongs to.
Free to start. No card needed.

Linked to Oakline Coffee · brand spot
A brand spot is a project with its own canvas. Each cut's review link lands on it as a link card, the client's notes go on a sticky under it, and the export task comes off the project's +.
The admin around the shoot and the edit
A brand job is often paid in two halves: a deposit to book the shoot and the balance on final delivery. Between them sits a cut the client can keep reopening, with the review links in one inbox and the notes in another.
Version four of a 60-second spot
The fourth review link just went out. The client's notes on v2 are in one email thread and the notes on v3 in another, and nobody is sure which made it into the cut.
The balance due on delivery
The client already posted the spot. The second half of the fee is still an open invoice.
The festival fees nobody added up
Most submission fees run $20 to $100 a film, and they climb from the early deadline to the late one. Twelve festivals later, the total is spread across a dozen receipts.
The gaffer who can't make Saturday
The shoot is in two days. The other two gaffers you trust are in an old phone, under first names only.

Know what's due from the shot list to delivery
Each job is a project with its steps as tasks: the shot list, the shoot day, the rough cut, the deliverables. The shot list itself is a note linked to the job. Today lists what's due across every project, so a wedding edit keeps moving while you're on set for a brand spot.

Keep your crew book in Network
Tag each person for what they do on set: DP, Gaffer, Sound, Editor, Colorist. Group your contacts by tag to see who to call for a shoot day, and open someone to see every project they've worked on with you. Their day rate and kit list go in a note linked to them.

Track your festival run on a pipeline
Start a pipeline from the Fairs & events template and rename it Festival run, with Submitted and Accepted as stages and Screened and Declined as outcomes. Each festival is an organization on it, with its submission link, the fee in its notes and the date results come out. In the last two weeks, the card counts down to that date.

Tools for the full production year
Festival deadlines, wedding season and the year-end edits come around every year. Each one has a place in Plya.
- January to FebruaryJan to Feb
Festival season
Sundance opens the year in January. The programmers, distributors and other filmmakers you meet go in Network, linked to the film you showed them.
- March to AprilMar to Apr
Spring bookings
SXSW runs in March, and spring brand work and fall weddings get booked. Each booking is a project, with its deposit invoice beside it.
- May to JuneMay to Jun
Wedding season starts
Shoot days stack up from May. Each wedding is a project with the shoot day, the shot list and the edit as tasks with dates.
- July to AugustJul to Aug
Early festival deadlines
Sundance's early deadlines fall in July and SXSW's first is in late August, when the fees are lowest. Each festival goes on your Festival run pipeline with its link and its results date.
- September to OctoberSep to Oct
The busiest wedding months
October and September are the two busiest months for weddings. Each Saturday gets its shot list, a note linked to the couple and the project.
- November to DecemberNov to Dec
Edits and balances
The fall's weddings are in the edit, and their balances come due on delivery. Every open invoice is in one list, and a sent one turns Overdue on its due date.
Keep the signed releases with the shoot
Location and talent releases go on the job's canvas as files, beside the shot list and the call sheet. When the client's legal team asks for them before the spot airs, they're on the project that shot it.
